Understanding the Different Types of Keywords

Within the realms of search engine optimisation, keywords and often referred to as ‘keyword phrases’, and essentially means that combination of words a user types into a search engine to find things. Keyword phrases can also be a combination of two or three words like ‘organic skin care’, or ‘organic skin care Sydney’ – it is the localised adding of a town/city name that Local SEO Advice specialises in.

The trick to a winning SEO campaign, with a sales focus, is to ascertain the highest searched transactional, keyword phrases, as these important words will produce the highest number of sales. Transactional keywords are words used to complete a purchase like ‘Avent Baby Bottles’.

It also worth understanding other types of keywords and they are as follows:

Navigational – keywords used to find a specific web page (e.g someone searching for ‘Smiggle’ should show just that)

Informational – keywords used to find information on a topic (e.g a search for ‘baby bottles’ should list a Wikipedia entry)

Generally speaking informational keywords have higher search volumes, but normally the person searching these types of things is motivated to research and not purchase, therefore, the conversion rate for these types of keywords is lower. Informational words like ‘baby bottles’ are usually best targeted to informational websites like blogs and forums.

Navigational keywords must seldom be the focus of any SEO campaign, unless you are a retailer of many brands and want to target these brands.

It’s widely stated that narrative article writing is currently one of the significant promotional tools that should be employed to drive targeted traffic to your online business. Fortunately, article writing is now conjointly accepted method for marketers to get fresh content for his or her sites by writing themselves or by using article directories.

The desires of marketers are terribly demanding and search engines are solely to ready to gratify them with new unique articles on the topics searched for. Although typically people use the Net as a huge database, search engines read it like a large data resource. When you view the internet from the attitude of the search engine and it is clever to try and do thus, then when a piece of writing is rewritten it automatically becomes unique content.

You may well wish to compose completely contemporary, distinctive content articles if this is the case there are some points you wish to consider. First of all, research your theme, there’s a wealth of knowledge you can rummage around for before you get going and every one you’ve got to try to is enter a few keywords into a search engine.

Whilst you’ve got your facts, it’s important that you set it out properly, with a starting point, a middle section that will probably contain the core of the topic, and an ending. The top of the article ought to be a conclusion giving likely answers or a summary of what has been written and be concerning four sentences or so in length with normally are approximately 4 to 5 hundred words. Keep in mind to break the article up into roughly speaking four to five paragraphs for easier reading; when you have written the article, you need to incorporate a resource box promoting your information and any links.

Working on-line isn’t simply writing keyword juiced articles for yourself to market your non-public web site or business for the reason that you might even be asked to write articles for different webmasters websites, blogs etc. If you are wondering how you begin to start writing, then I can let you into a little secret. Amongst the best ways I found was to write down articles based on my very own expertise of a theme (local SEO perhaps), in this case in point online business practices, however only you may recognize what information you can offer out to others. You may possibly also, get some ideas for niche markets and these would at least give you a starting point for writing.

Attempt to remain focused and bear in mind that regardless of how skilled your data of a subject, it is good idea to take care with the type writing method you use.

In conclusion it is most important to be original, not so much with the concept, but with the words you are using to describe it – Google and other search engines use special filters to siphon out duplicated content, or at least rank it poorly. I once did a test for this on a florist site we were building; in fact the company wanted a number of identical sites, including products, with different URL’s. Of the sites we simply changed the town name they ranked within 24 hours of launching (with some tricky help), but could never get beyond page 3 of Google. Of the sites with 100% unique content, the same images, structure and around the same competition most of them are ranked #1 in Google now.
